Stepping into The Kitchen Table is like entering the home of a dear friend—only it’s just the opposite. It’s actually an events venue that breaks the mold and is the brainchild of Grace Park and David Ho. I was invited there for a magical “Fall Fete” hosted by my friend Karen Stone, real estate broker extraordinaire.
The Kitchen Table is an event space like no other in New York (and the U.S.), and that’s saying a lot for a city where people think they’ve seen it all. Owner Grace Park told me she wanted to open a new kind of venue that felt like home—and that’s exactly what she did. This delightful spot on Mulberry St. with low lighting, exposed brick walls, a rustic dining room table, and a modern kitchen allows people like my friend Karen to host a party that feels like it’s at home without the muss and fuss—and cleanup—at your own place of residence.
Karen is a savvy business woman, and she happens to be in my long-running book club of which I’ve been a member for 7+ years. She helped two fellow book clubbers find their lovely co-ops—in addition to one of my best friends. Karen threw this Fall Fete as a “thank you” to both colleagues and those in her network who opened doors for business.
We were invited to enjoy a delightful home-made chocolate tasting paired with wine, fall-inspired hors d’oeurves, and free-flowing wine and bubbly.
The Kitchen Table was the perfect spot for this lovely autumnal celebration with friends old and new.
